IR Haji Abdul Wahid commenced his professional journey as a Design Engineer at the PWD HQ in 1976. His technical acumen and dedication propelled him to the position of State Electrical Engineer at PWD Malaysia in 1977, where he made significant contributions to the field of electrical engineering.
In 1981, he assumed the role of Assistant Director of Operations (Electrical) at the Highway Authority of Malaysia, showcasing exemplary leadership and strategic insights in managing critical operations within the infrastructure sector.
His career reached new heights as he transitioned to executive roles in various entities, including Selia-Tek Holdings Sdn Bhd, Selia-Tek Industries Sdn Bhd, Selia-Tek Medical Sdn Bhd, Selia-Tek Tools and Dies, and Selia-Tek Ventures Sdn Bhd from 1985 onwards.
